About My Clients
Folks come to me looking to discover more possibilities in how they feel and act, or to strengthen and deepen their connections with themselves and others. Sometimes the desire to come to therapy is rooted in a sense that something just isn't right. Other times folks have a specific intention to heal from various kinds of trauma and/or navigate anxiety, depression, attachment issues, LGBTQ+ issues or other struggles.
My Background and Approach
As a somatic therapist, I help my clients access a sense of ground, wholeness and well-being as a platform for their experiences of daily life. Curiosity, compassion and human connection are the ground on which all my work takes place. My practice is holistic and helps folks experience life in new ways by supporting different physiological responses to stress. Becoming aware of and addressing our stress responses is a key that unlocks doors into more ease - and supports alternatives to those feelings, thoughts and patterns we can't seem to shake. I love getting to support clients in fostering deep connections with themselves! And love getting to witness their process of living with more freedom from within.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I see embodiment as a key to all kinds of transformation. What collective healing could be possible when our ways of knowing begin within our deepest selves instead of the forces outside of us? This deep connection to self - and to community - is everyone's birthright. My work is influenced by the knowledge that all of life is always moving toward healing: the cut on your hand magically scabs and turns back into skin; the tree cut off at its base sprouts new shoots. I believe that the human heart is not different, and that every heart and being deserves the opportunity to heal, thrive, and live with joy.
