About My Clients
Whether you are experiencing the impacts of trauma or are wanting to learn how to better support yourself as a neurodivergent or queer person, we can craft therapeutic goals specific to your needs. In my work with clients, I practice from a trauma-informed, neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ affirming, sex positive framework and I view the therapeutic relationship, curiosity, and collaboration as foundational aspects of therapy.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is somatic, attachment based and relational and centered around understanding how current problems you're facing may have developed as solutions to earlier life experiences. I am trained in Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR as well as IFS Informed EMDR to address the impacts of complex trauma. I also integrate aspects of nervous system psychoeducation, DBT, and ACT into therapy when appropriate (and desired). As a neurodivergent and queer therapist, I utilize both clinical knowledge and my own lived experience in addressing the needs of my neurodivergent and queer clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Healing happens in the presence of connection and felt safety. I hope to help establish a therapeutic relationship where you feel you are able to be yourself, express your needs, and grow towards a more authentic version of yourself. I believe we are all influenced by the environment that we are existing in, and I often bring this context into the room by viewing my clients through a systems-informed lens. I acknowledge my clients are the experts of their experiences and I aim to meet my clients with curiosity and compassion as we work together towards your goals.
