Therapy is not an easy process. But, that’s what it is, a process. I believe that change comes from looking within and enhancing our own self-understanding. Learning our patterns and where they come from helps us to change the way that we are living now.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the Wilkes Honors College of Florida Atlantic University and went on to earn a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. My dissertation involved developing and implementing a mindfulness-based group intervention for older adults.
I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Nova Southeastern University Psychology Services Center. I worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families with thought and mood disorders. I also received extensive training working with individuals with trauma and interpersonal difficulties. After my internship, I stayed at the Psychology Services Center to enhance my expertise in long-term therapy and personality disorders.
