My Background and Approach
I understand what it's like feeling so much at once, having a "gut feeling" about something without fully knowing what it is, and wanting to escape. I've spent years learning myself, and teaching others skills to help deal with these issues. I use an eclectic approach from humanistic and existential theories to faith-based, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness techniques that will help you understand your experiences and set healthier boundaries for yourself and with others. Focusing tools, healthy coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, relaxation and meditation, and much more work for the highly sensitive person to manage their gifts and live a life of enjoyment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people deserve to feel loved and have a sense of belonging. We are spirit having a human experience, not merely flesh and blood with a spirit inside. Often times our intuition and hypersensitivities are our spirit's way of helping us live in this earth school. This world needs our powerful, sensitive souls. But feeling misunderstood and out of place is common. Therapy can help you accept yourself, feel more alive than ever, and regain that child-like wonder we so desperately seek.
