About My Clients

My clients often feel stuck in cycles of self-doubt, uncertainty, or inner conflict. Many struggle with eating and body image concerns, often layered with anxiety, depression, or past trauma. Others come in overwhelmed by relationships, health challenges, or the search for meaning. Together, we make sense of these struggles, build clarity, and create space for growth. My role is to help you find hope, resilience, and a stronger connection to yourself.

My Background and Approach

I am a clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience in diverse settings from inpatient to private practice. My specialty is treating disordered eating and body image concerns, as well as trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and chronic medical conditions. My therapeutic style is collaborative and active—I don’t just sit back. Each session, I check in about what feels most pressing for you, while also bringing in observations if I notice avoidance or patterns holding you back. I balance warmth and humor with the courage to gently challenge you. Sometimes we’ll laugh together at life’s absurdities; other times, we’ll sit with the hard truths. Above all, I bring persistence and hope. Many clients come to me after multiple hospitalizations or treatment attempts, fearing they are “too much” or “beyond help.” I see those experiences not as failures but as part of the journey, and I don’t give up easily. My aim is to help you find stability, insight, and hope for change.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe everyone deserves respect, love, and fairness. I am committed to creating a space where all identities are honored and where you feel understood. As an ally for LGBTQIA+ clients, I advocate for your rights and help you access the resources you need. When something about your background or experience is unfamiliar to me, I see that as an opportunity to learn and deepen my understanding of your world. At the heart of my work are the values that guide me personally and professionally: compassion, honesty, acceptance, playfulness, love, freedom, wisdom, adventure, creativity, and closeness. These values shape how I show up in session and how I walk with you as you clarify your own. I believe therapy is not just about symptom relief, but about building a life that feels meaningful, free, and authentically yours.
