My Background and Approach
I’m Michele Castro, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience providing mental health care across the lifespan. I specialize in anxiety, depression, stress, mood concerns, sleep difficulties, and medication management for adults and adolescents. My approach combines evidence-based medication management with supportive therapy, so appointments are more than a quick medication check. I take time to listen, understand what’s happening in your everyday life, explain treatment options, and work with you to create a plan that feels realistic. Through GYPB Mental Health, I provide convenient telehealth care with an emphasis on accessibility, consistency, and building a genuine provider-client relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe mental health care is not one-size-fits-all. Every person’s experience is different, and every mental health concern deserves to be talked about, whether it feels big, small, or somewhere in between. I also believe getting support shouldn’t feel financially out of reach. That belief is why I offer an affordable private-pay subscription option that includes two appointments each month, giving clients the opportunity for more consistent support. I also founded a nonprofit focused on expanding mental health awareness and access. At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: people deserve accessible, individualized mental health care and a safe place to be heard.
