Adolescents and teenagers are going through so many biological changes in a demanding world of friends, social media, and video games. Parents need more tools to help their children manage. We use CBT techniques with adolescents and teenagers work through anxiety, depression, and more.

People are growing in so many ways -- cognitively, emotionally, and physically, especially at transition time periods in their life. We work with many people who are in transition and learning about their bodies and self. When appropriate, we work with people and their families to understand the changes they may be going through, and coming up with new ways of living and thriving together.

EMDR is an evidenced-based therapeutic method for children and adults who have had unpleasant events occur in their lives. These could be either old or recent events. These events shape how they respond to future experiences, including shaping their thoughts and behaviors. EMDR allows your brain to naturally heal from these events, using bilateral stimulation.

Children have different cognitive processing than adults. They need a different type of treatment, not traditional talk therapy. Play therapy is the solution. Toys are like words for children. They communicate best through play. We have worked with children who have behavioral problems, and feelings of anxiety, grief, and trauma.
