About My Clients
I combine my passion for family and therapy to help individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges and help them heal and work through trauma, emotional wounds, C-PTSD, attachment issues, anxiety, and relationship problems. Trained in Gottman Levels 1 and 2, Prepare Enrich, EMDR (EMDRIA), Bowen Family Systems Therapy, and through a combination of psychodynamic therapy, I help my clients to unlearn past patterns that no longer serve them and discover their authentic selves.
My Background and Approach
What motivates me most is the transformative power of therapy, witnessing my clients get unstuck and re-emerge as the vibrant and confident person who loves life and goes after their goals. As a licensed professional counselor associate (LPC-A) and a graduate of a Master's program in Marriage and Family Therapy, I bring a comprehensive background in counseling to my practice. My therapeutic background is rooted in EMDR-trained, psychodynamic, and Bowen family systems theory, enabling me to tailor treatment plans to each client's unique needs. With a strong educational foundation and ongoing pursuit of a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy, I remain committed to staying current on best practices. Additionally, my South African heritage and proficiency in Zulu allow me to connect with diverse client populations, fostering cultural sensitivity and understanding.
