About My Clients

If you're feeling stuck, questioning how you got here again, seeking to find greater understanding and awareness of yourself and your life, or striving to enhance meaningfulness in your relationships, a depth psychotherapy approach is a great place to start. I work with clients who have experienced anxiety, depression, addiction, and have a traumatic experiences. They have met a lot of society's markers of success but still struggle to feel satisfied with their life and the path they are on.

My Background and Approach

Therapy is not a quick fix, nor does it get rid of or solve all of life's difficulties. Instead, it brings awareness to the ways in which we develop patterns of doing things that may no longer serve us. By bringing awareness to these patterns, and starting to question where they came from and if they help us now, we can more consciously make changes toward living a more fulfilling life. As we become more aware of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, we can make small changes in the way we view ourselves and our world. We can learn to recognize and change our self-defeating behaviors and learn to navigate difficult feelings of sadness, fear, and pain instead of avoiding them. Therapy provides us with opportunities to make space for change and explore new strategies. Change, however, even when for the better, is accompanied by discomfort. As such, therapy providing a safe and stable place for change to occur; it is a sacred space for healing.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in developing authentic relationships with my clients. Because trauma occurs in the context of a relationship, I believe that healing too must occur in relationship with others. I'm an advocate for suicide prevention in our communities and for increasing mental health supports in schools. I'm passionate about changing our cultural narratives around hard work and what it means to be successful, as well as how we view sex, intimacy, and partnerships outside the traditional context of marriage, including open relationships, non-monogamy, social monogamy and sexual non-monogamy. I utilize a range of techniques to support my own wellbeing and value the use of astrology, tarot, the i-ching, religion, and other symbol systems through which humankind has made meaning in their life. I am an avid dreamer; I dream journal and analyze dreams. I believe in the power of individuals to heal themselves when they are afforded the space to do so.

I have experience with the following
