About My Clients
Life is difficult. It's common to find ourselves feeling stuck and lost. If you're living a life that is different than the one you hoped for and motivated to make changes, then let's work together. Let's do the difficult work of moving towards suffering to increase your freedom in pursuing what you want for yourself. Let's get to a place of feeling grounded and living meaningfully - even in moments of pain.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Colorado. I have clinical and research expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral treatment that centers you and your values. Work from an ACT approach focuses on increasing sensitivity to human suffering and helps to shift the way we relate to our pain. ACT has been scientifically shown to improve well-being across a range of clinical presentations and ages. I also tailor my approach to meet the needs of my clients, understanding that healing and growth can happen in many forms.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In holding a safe and trusting relationship, we can attend to suffering and help you to live a life that is meaningful and fulfilling. I hold a strong value around social justice and want to create spaces that are affirming of all the identities you hold. As such, I believe in creating a collaborative partnership with you. I do this by showing up authentically in our work, sharing the knowledge and education I have acquired, and trusting you as the expert of your experience. I care deeply about this work and I honor the risk it takes to try something new.
