About My Clients

You’re someone others rely on: capable, thoughtful, and used to holding things together, but underneath, you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, adjusting to a life transition, or carrying the quiet pressure of high expectations, therapy can help you make sense of what’s happening and create meaningful, lasting change.

My Background and Approach

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology: Marriage and Family Therapy. My work is relational and real — built on both personal and professional experience. I'm a spouse and a parent, and my background spans pastoral ministry and spiritual direction, grief and bereavement, and trauma-informed care. That range has given me a deep sense of openness and genuine respect for what people carry. I have advanced training in EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) for couples and families, the Gottman Method for couples, Complicated Grief treatment, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma. One thing I can tell you with confidence: nothing you bring in here will shock me. Whatever you've been holding — the parts that feel too complicated, too shameful, or too hard to say out loud — I can handle it.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy works best when the therapist is a real person, not just a professional presence. That means I bring my own life into the room — not to make the work about me, but because I know from the inside what it is to lose something significant, to feel unmoored, and to slowly find solid ground again. That experience doesn't make me an expert on your pain. It makes me someone who takes it seriously. I am affirming and welcoming of LGBTQ+ clients, and I hold faith and spirituality with genuine respect — whether that's central to your life or entirely absent from it. I don't believe there's one right framework for making meaning, and I won't impose mine on yours. What I do believe, firmly: that people are more than their worst moments, that honesty in a therapeutic relationship matters, and that feeling truly seen — maybe for the first time — can be the beginning of something real.
