About My Clients
I work with children, adolescents, teens, young adults, and parents to foster and maintain healthy social and emotional development. I have experience working with anxiety, behavioral and/or emotional concerns, attention difficulties, current and/or past trauma, and more. I use an integrative approach by focusing on the clients’ strengths, needs, and interests. We all have different preferences for therapy so I ensure that your voice is heard and you are the one directing us to where you need.
My Background and Approach
I have been working with children, adolescents, teens, young adults, and parents since I began my career as a mental health therapist in 2018. My approach differs depending on the person right in front of me! We all have different strengths, needs, interests, and ways of learning. I ensure to honor that as we work together. One of my primary goals is to establish trust and safety within the therapeutic relationship and environment. Our sessions will be full of curiosity, creativity, compassion, and empathy. I often also weave in bits of brain and nervous system science to better understand our big feelings and big behaviors. This allows us to honor our humanity and provide ourselves with self-compassion. By normalizing our humanity, we can have empathy for ourselves which is a wonderful thing in the healing process.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person should be respected and valued regardless of their views or beliefs. We are all humans trying to figure out how to navigate life and that is a lot easier with support from other humans. I believe that the art of the therapeutic relationship is extremely important in the healing process. I am just another human who is perfectly, imperfect working alongside you so that you can feel supported, honored, and valued.
