About My Clients
Maybe this is your first or fifth time seeking counseling. You may have had some not so stellar experiences with previous providers. Maybe there's extensive trauma or to many things going on to count. You've come to a welcoming place where you aren't "too" anything to get balanced in life. I want to help connect your mind and body as we grow through your journey. My Background and Approach
Hello! I take special interest in offering equine-assisted trauma-informed counseling through a partnership with Pixie Jarvis at Sole to Soul Horsemanship. I also like to utilize vibrational sound therapy; both services alongside talk-therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Kentucky University. I have been counseling for going on 6yrs. I've had experience working with sexual-trauma and trauma in general. I consider myself an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community as well. I have a very casual, open-minded, and accepting approach to counseling. I want you to feel like we are in this together. I want to close the gap between client and counselor. I pride myself on being down-to-earth and my goal is to offer a comfortable space where you can open up on your own time. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that connecting with our body as it relates to our mind is very important in long-term growth. I feel that for some, overall balance and wellness needs more than traditional talk therapy. Which is why I offer the equine trauma-informed counseling service and the sound therapy service. I believe that all people need access to mental health counseling and I do my best to be a counselor who can help decrease obstacles to mental health treatment. I am flexible and willing to work with you! Being a counselor truly is my passion. People should feel like they can bring any topic to the table and feel validated or accepted. I believe clients should have a say in their treatment and to feel like they can advocate for themselves when needed. I consider myself more of a spiritual person than "religious" per se. I respect people and any differences in the ways we find guidance or belonging in this life. I believe YOU are the expert in your life, not me! I'm happy to help!
