About My Clients
I have specialized training working with those who are sober-curious, struggling with substances, in active addiction, family members of someone struggling in addiction, newly sober living, and long-term recovery. We will explore your goals and challenge your thoughts, while also using humor and meditation practices throughout our time together.
My Background and Approach
Through a collaborative approach, I strive to help clients transition through many seasons of life - whether its feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders, becoming a new parent, feeling unmotivated and bored with the status quo, dealing with negative consequences, struggling with past trauma, or simply looking to be a better version of yourself. I believe that curiosity and compassion have the power to change our world, and you’ll see that integrated in my style of therapy. We will spend time learning, regulating, and connecting our emotions to FEEL. DEAL. and HEAL.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value connection, empathy, and authenticity. I'm a feminist, anti-racist, and defender of social justice. I believe that we all have a reason for living, and if we could see see everyone as a human we would agree on more than we think. I volunteer as a Guardian Ad Litem and spent years working at DSS. Substance use has a special place in my heart, because people in recovery are my favorite people.
