About My Clients
I’m passionate about supporting individuals of all ages (5+) through life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, anxiety, or depression while helping to strengthen their emotional intelligence and develop a deeper self-understanding. My main goal as a therapist is to help others become the best versions of themselves. My main goal as a therapist is to help others become the best versions of themselves.
My Background and Approach
I recently graduated from West Texas A&M University with my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I approach therapy with optimism, openness, empathy, and compassion. I place an emphasis on active listening and collaboration, allowing clients to feel deeply heard while we work together to explore their experiences and build meaningful change. Ensuring comfort and safety is always a priority, and I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for growth. Depending on each client’s needs, I incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), person-centered theory, positive psychology, mindfulness, play therapy, psychoeducation, and a variety of validation, reflection, and cognitive-challenging skills.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly believe in early prevention. I believe starting therapy sooner rather than later creates a big impact on your future self. The earlier your start, the sooner you can start utilizing tools learned, the sooner you can live to be the best version of yourself! I am also a strong believer in psychoeducation. As mental health is an ever-evolving field, it can be overwhelming at time with information. I think it important to educate the client on exactly what it is they are experiencing, how it is caused, what the treatments there are, the why, etc.
