About My Clients
The clients I work with realize that there is something out of alignment in their lives and are seeking to gain insight into their struggles. My clients are seeking a safe, comfortable environment in which to share their issues, needs, and goals and begin realizing what is standing in their way. They learn to reflect, rationalize, and grow towards a better understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the world around them.
My Background and Approach
I use counseling techniques that are evidence-based and client-focused. The first session will typically talk about what brings you into therapy and dive into a bit of your life story. We will use Individual Psychology approaches to uncover your views of self, others, and the world at large. I also use a rational and personalized approach to therapy which will allow clients to feel safe and seen.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every problem we face as humans is an interpersonal relationship problem. Whether it's mating and dating, parenting, work-related issues, or personal stress, I believe that by solving the relationship, we solve the problem. I think that the ever-growing anxiety and depression our society is feeling is due to some kind of disconnection. A disconnection from our community, a disconnection from nature, a disconnection from our family or friends, or a disconnection from ourselves. My hope is to help clients understand the importance of these connections and begin to develop healthy relationships in their lives.
