About My Clients

My clients are ready to change and are looking for something different from traditional talk and analytic therapy. Most are looking for deep inner change and are willing to look inside of themselves to find it, even when it is hard. Most of my clients struggle with anxiety, panic and trauma. These symptoms often get in their way of being themselves and living a joyful life. In addition, her clients struggle with setting boundaries, and communicating clearly what they want

My Background and Approach

Marna combines cognitive behavioral therapy with somatic therapy. She trained in the Hakomi Method (a body centered therapy) for four years in California. Her approach is strength-based. in addition, she is trained in body centered trauma release, EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing), and CBT. Her work experience includes integrated behavioral health (in medical clinics and hospital) It ranges from working in a walk-in homeless clinic, a treatment program for individuals with acute depression and bipolar disorder. I have worked with people who have become homeless, people who are dying, those who have become addicted to substances, those with acute mental health issues. I have supported thousands of people from all different walks of life who are struggling with anxiety, depression and trauma related issues.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Marna believes that our bodies hold the remedy to many of our road blocks in life and that all emotions are all good, even when they do not feel good. She believes that every emotion is teaching us something valuable about ourselves. Particularly when it comes to anxiety and depression. These symptoms arise when we are unable to set boundaries, say yes when me yes and no when we mean no, they arise when we do not know what we want or how to ask for it. She believes that in order to successfully lower anxiety and depression we need to learn to tolerate the discomfort and has developed strategies that work so that you can tolerate your uncomfortable emotions so that life more tolerable.
