About My Clients
I specialize in treating OCD and trauma. The clients I see the best results with are those who are motivated to change, whether through a change of circumstance or a change of perspective. I work well with a broad range of clients, from teenagers to adults and across the spectrum of the human experience. If you appreciate honesty, a certain amount of earthiness (I was a welder before I became a therapist), and a boatload of experience at being a person, we'll probably be just fine.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Practicing Counselor (LPC) and received my masters from Adams State University in 2019. I also have training in EMDR and CBT, and use those and elements of other forms of therapy in my practice. I have a unique set of experiences that allow me to work very well with trauma and OCD as well as anxiety issues, depression, and self esteem issues. I'm going to see you first and foremost as a person, not a collection of issues, and working together we'll figure out where you want or need to be and then see about getting you there. I'll work to help you learn the tools you need to manage the things you have to manage or to let go of the things you need to let go of. I see this as a collaborative effort between us, with you being the expert at being you and me supplying some helpful perspective and knowledge to help you along the way.
