About My Clients

Mark loves supporting clients in reducing inner conflict by trusting in their own wisdom and wholeness through exploring the adaptive strategies they have learned in their life and creating a sense of trust and harmony in navigating all these different tools they have acquired while exploring new tools. Mark values clients who are motivated for change and have some clear intentions of how they want their life to look or feel different.

My Background and Approach

Mark brings his lived experiences from 7 years in the Army as an MP overseas and at home to support his work with fellow Veterans and first Responders. Mark is committed to advocacy, research, and education about veteran issues (i.e. PTSD & Moral Injury). Mark is a published Veteran author in Charlie Mike and is also a therapist working with Huts4Vets wilderness retreats. Mark has also given presentations for the VA, Naropa University, & other organizations on veterans and psychedelics. Growing up in Las Vegas gave Mark a broad exposure to multiple ways to love and express oneself, which inspired him to become a certified sex therapist. Mark is passionate about improving intimacy and healing shame, trauma, or maladaptive beliefs from society/religion/family that hold clients back from radical authenticity and self-expression. Mark loves supporting couples in finding new ways to connect, process conflict, and to support their discovery of their relationship wisdom.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Mark believes that we are here to evolve as individuals, as a species, and as interdependent beings with all of life & mother earth to learn lessons, love and to have a blast doing it all! Mark believes we must adapt to our survival mechanisms if we hope to move beyond their limitations so that we can be the true guides of our journey instead of being controlled by our past, or by the dogmas/social "norms" of others. Mark is accepting of all ways of loving and expressing oneself sexually with consent, respect of others safety, mutuality & without coercion/abuse. Mark appreciates the power labels around identity to help with self-expression, while also appreciating the freedom that comes without labels to follow an embodied truth that is flexible/fluid based on context and desire in each moment. Mark has attended many trainings focused on diversity dialogues and social justice while working for CSU Health Network for 3 years & strives to stay aware of the journey of marginalized folks.
