About My Clients
I partner with individual adults and older adults navigating: Life Challenges: Anxiety, stress, and existential questions about your life direction. Trauma & Past Childhood Experiences: Healing from past hurts affecting your current relationships, choices, and nervous system. Grief & Loss: Walking through painful transitions and honoring the space needed to heal. Relationships: Using family and systemic tools to deepen your connection with loved ones.
My Background and Approach
I have an interdisciplinary background in business, education, and biological/medical science. My transition into clinical mental health counseling follows an interest in neuroscience, psychology, and neuroplasticity in the context of trauma and childhood experiences. These interests led me to explore mindfulness-based and spiritually informed practices as part of my own self-care and personal growth. My approach to counseling is collaborative, holistic and trauma-informed. Drawing from Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) and evidence-based practices, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existential, and mindfulness-based approaches to support each client's individual needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the counseling process looks different for everyone and that curiosity and self-respect are integral for navigating life. I believe that change happens when we develop awareness and understanding of why we believe or act the way we do so that we can examine whether that framework is aligned to our current values and desired life. It is then that we can consciously choose new behaviors within a system of support.
