About My Clients
This one goes out to all the folks struggling with trauma triggers, anxiety, obsessions/compulsions, and family conflict. I help my clients work through overcoming trauma and painful childhood experiences, navigating family boundary issues, and understanding and managing their anxiety, obsessions and compulsions. The people who tend to thrive in my practice are those who feel ready to make waves in their lives and are open to being supported—and sometimes gently held accountable—along the way.
My Background and Approach
Growing up between Russian, Armenian, and American cultures shaped a lot of how I understand identity, belonging, and the complexity of family and relational expectations—themes that deeply inform the work I do with clients today. My path to this work started early; as a teenager navigating these complexities, I often wished for a safe, objective space to process it all. Today, I feel deeply fortunate to offer that exact support to others. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I work with individuals navigating sexual trauma, anxiety, OCD, low self-esteem, heartbreak, dating challenges, and family boundary issues. Over time, I’ve developed an integrative approach to therapy. I draw from evidence-based practices like EMDR, CBT, ACT, and ERP blending them with mindfulness-based strategies depending on what best supports your unique healing. I have been in the mental health field since 2013, practicing as a licensed therapist since 2019, and EMDR certified since 2023.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My clinical philosophy is stems from the belief that unresolved trauma and avoidance are often what keep us stuck in patterns of suffering. Real change happens when we become willing to step outside of our comfort zone and look at ourselves differently. What I’ve learned from being both a clinician and a therapy client is that meaningful change is absolutely possible—but it requires a genuine willingness to do things differently, tolerate discomfort, and hold ourselves accountable. Because I utilize many of these same tools and resources in my own life, I speak to them from both a professional and deeply personal perspective. When I'm not practicing therapy, I'm fostering dogs from my local animal shelter, participating in local Democratic Socialists of America events, or spending time with my spouse, children, and dog.
