About My Clients
I work with adolescents, adults, and couples from various backgrounds and experiencing various problems. I use a culturally sensitive, person-in-environment approach as everyone’s experiences and backgrounds are different. We will work as a team to address issues and concerns and identify effective strategies to establish homeostasis in your life. It is my honor to serve those who choose to share their lives with me.
My Background and Approach
My approach is warm, engaged, and non-judgmental. I will take time to listen to your needs. We will then work as a team to address issues and concerns and identify effective strategies to establish homeostasis in your life. We will start where you are, identify areas of growth and structure interventions which are realistic for you to meet. I will always provide tools and feedback which are specific to your needs. I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma Informed, Narrative Therapy and Psychodynamic approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is my belief that therapy is not a one size fits all. I believe that our needs can be determined by a number of factors to include, race, socio-economic factors, gender and age. These factors must be explored and woven into the healing process. I am a firm believer that everyone deserves peace in their lives, addressing mental health issues is a big part of achieving this peace. I believe that mental health should be considered a part of our overall wellness. Having struggled with anxiety and depression has given me insight into the severity of these symptoms and how they can affect every part of our being. I am passionate about addressing issues and assisting my clients with finding the approach which works best for them in their healing process.
