About My Clients
I see clients of all ages, backgrounds and identities. Many of my clients identify as LGBTQ+. I work with couples and polyamorous folx. I have experience working with neurodiverse folx, children, and new parents. Some of my clients are artists seeking to deepen their art practice and better understand connections between their creative process and their mental health. Many of my clients partake in art therapy, some prefer talk therapy and some like to alternate.
My Background and Approach
I have a BA in Studio Art, an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and an MA in Art Therapy. I am a licensed psychotherapist and I am also an art therapist registered with the Art Therapy Credentials Board. I see clients in CA for art therapy and psychotherapy. I see clients in other states only for art therapy. I embrace person-centered, narrative, attachment and solution-focused theoretical orientations. I also enjoy the dreamwork and symbolism aspects of psychodynamic theory. My style is warm, accepting, encouraging and strength-based. I have worked for organizations and agencies serving the neurodiverse community as well as veterans. Before becoming a therapist, I worked with children for 20+ years. I seek to collaborate with clients, identifying tools, strengths and, most importantly, passions. Recognizing, honoring and nourishing our unique motivation is a powerful process that can transform our relationships, careers and lives!

I believe in protecting and advocating for the most vulnerable among us. I believe in Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion! I believe Black Lives Matter! I believe no human is illegal! I believe in decolonization! I believe in Rematriating the Land/Land Back! I believe everyone deserves adequate food, shelter and healthcare! I believe All Bodies are Good Bodies! I believe children deserve respect! I believe animals deserve respect! I believe in Environmental Protections! I believe the mentally healthy individual is the key to the mentally healthy friendship, relationship, family, community… I believe this is a key component to peace.
