About My Clients
You've done therapy before. You understand your patterns. So why is the anxiety still there? Insight alone doesn't change what your nervous system learned. My clients are capable people who keep things running — while carrying constant worry, racing thoughts, or an inner critic that never quits. You don't have to identify as a "trauma survivor" for EMDR to fit; if past experiences still shape how you feel today, we can resolve them at the root.
My Background and Approach
I'm an EMDR therapist with 16+ years of clinical experience, including extensive work in trauma treatment and complex PTSD. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps your brain fully process experiences that got "stuck," so they stop driving anxiety, negative self-talk, and that warning bell constantly going off in your body. Alongside weekly therapy, I offer Intensive EMDR — extended sessions that condense months of progress into a much shorter timeframe, which many busy clients prefer. Depending on your goals, I also draw on CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based approaches. We'll start by building safety and skills, move at a pace that works for your system, and track progress toward goals you actually care about.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing isn't about becoming someone new — it's about clearing away what's been in the way of who you already are. Therapy with me is warm, direct, and collaborative; you'll never be a passive recipient of treatment, and I'll always tell you what we're doing and why. I meet with clients exclusively through secure video, which means you can do deep work from wherever you're most comfortable, and I see clients throughout New York, Florida, Connecticut, and Oregon. I offer a free 20-minute consultation so you can ask questions and decide whether I'm the right fit — that decision belongs to you.
