About My Clients
Is your mind constantly buzzing with thoughts you can’t control? Are you wondering about your gender or sexuality? My goal is always to create a nonjudgemental space where you can explore and be listened to. I provide an accepting space for queer and trans folks to explore and heal. Whether your mind is filled with anxiety, thoughts of the past, self-criticism, or hopelessness, you are not alone. Counseling with me can provide you with insight, direction, clarity, and a path toward your goals.
My Background and Approach
Therapy isn't a "one size fits all". I use a holistic approach that is tailored to your particular wants and needs. While I may use a variety of techniques (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, Emotion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), my goal is always to create a non-judgmental space where you can explore and be listened to. I aim to help you create a life in line with your values, to assist you on a journey to understand yourself better, and to allow you to process difficult emotions. When you work with me, we become a team to help you work through what is difficult and celebrate your strengths. If life feels like it is harder than it needs to be, let me be your teammate in wellness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a member of the queer and nonbinary community, fighting for equality is very important to me. I stand for a world that is more welcoming and kind to folks from all walks of life. When I'm not working with people, I am spending my time with animals. I am passionate about the welfare of cats, dogs, wildlife, TNR programs, and environmental issues.
