According to Postpartum International, 1 in 7 Moms and 1 in 10 Dads suffer from postpartum depression. I will provide education, empathy, and resource referrals to parents/caregivers who are experiencing challenges and stress during or after pregnancy.

Up to 18% of fathers develop a clinically significant anxiety disorder such as generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder at some point during the pregnancy or the first year postpartum. I will provide education, empathy, and resource referrals to parents/caregivers who are experiencing challenges and stress during or after pregnancy.

This is a modified form of cognitive therapy that incorporates mindfulness practices that include present moment awareness, meditation, and breathing exercises.

The focus is on health rather than the problem. Strengths are focused on more than weaknesses or deficits. Skills, resources and coping abilities that are discussed to help in reaching future goals. Clients are encouraged to believe that positive changes are always possible by adopting a growth mindset.
