About My Clients

I enjoy working with people who struggle with the emotion regulation issues, as well as mood disorders, borderline personality disorder, panic disorder, etc. I feel deeply connected to, as well as truly appreciate, individuals who are willing to explore the underlying reasons for these disorders.

My Background and Approach

I graduated from Baylor University in 2015 with my B.S. in Psychology. I then went on to work as a case manager for homeless individuals with mental health issues in Dallas. Later, I got my masters degree from SMU in counseling. I have also published a paper regarding perinatal bipolar disorder at UT Southwestern in the Psychosocial Research Lab. I previously had the privilege of leading groups for those suffering from alcohol and drug addiction, as well as emotional disregulation issues, and have discovered an appreciation for walking through such a challenging time with the client. It is my hope to do the same for you. I approach therapy from a DBT informed perspective, as well as using CBT techniques to strengthen confidence in the individual.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

It is my belief that the difficulties that we face stem from our inner dialogue and extreme responses in acknowledgment to triggering situations. It is my goal to help the client explore such thoughts and reactions by developing coping skills and new ways of thinking in order for the client to feel more at ease and happier in life.
