About My Clients
My specializations include anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, schizophrenia, bipolar, emotional regulation, coping with stress, self-esteem, and mindfulness. I have expertise in treating adults from various intersecting backgrounds and cultural experiences, including college students, Veterans, high achievers, athletes, unhoused or previously incarcerated individuals, adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities, and rural populations.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Statistics and Leadership and Social Change from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. Following, I worked for two years as a research specialist at the Addiction Recovery Research Center as part of the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Research Institute in Roanoke, Virginia. I received both my Master of Science and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. I completed my clinical internship and post-doctoral training within the Veteran Affairs hospital system, including the San Diego VA Medical Center in La Jolla, California, and the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas. I am grateful to my past and future clients for being vulnerable, resilient, and choosing growth, and for making my career incredibly meaningful and fulfilling!
