About My Clients

We serve adolescents and adults, through a culturally-sensitive lens. Allied and affirming of all identities, we strive to offer a safe space to those who need it most. We are best known for expertly treating PTSD and the effects of trauma, whether it is recent or very old, chronic or acute, obvious or subtle. As generalists, we also have expertise treating the full range of mental health disorders, adjustment to life transitions, and relationship concerns.

My Background and Approach

At Hazel House, we take a holistic approach to mental health care, blending modern science with ancient wisdom to create individualized treatment plans that promote healing on all levels —mind, body, and spirit. Our goal is to help clients rediscover their inner strength and achieve lasting well-being by seeking root-cause resolution of problems. We are proud to serve a diverse community, through individual, couples, and group therapy, as well as through retreats and intensives. We have specialized services for veterans, first responders, high-achieving professionals, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and individuals with chronic health conditions. With a large team of competent professionals, we are able to expertly address a number of issues, through a myriad of therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, IFS, brainspotting, hypnotherapy, poly-vagal support, experiential therapy, somatic therapy, sandtray therapy, attachment-focused therapy, CBT, DBT, and more.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Hazel House is woman- and LGBTQIA+-owned, and it has multiple team members who are part of marginalized communities (LGBTQIA+, BIPOC). Affirming care and advocacy are a priority for the team. We want to provide a safe space for those who may not feel safe in many places, having witnessed discrimination, hate, and family-rejection/alienation first hand. We embrace diversity and celebrate the uniqueness that provides differing perspectives and experiences, and ultimately makes our world a fuller, more creative, more interesting place to be. We believe that everyone can heal, under the right conditions, which leads us to prioritize safety, trust, authenticity, and unconditional acceptance of our clients' true identities, in our relational approach to therapy. We show up as fellow journeyers, rather than experts behind a clipboard, and we provide a judgment-free space to explore feelings, thoughts, beliefs, traumas, goals, fantasies, needs, and desires.
