My Background and Approach
Liam Lattrell is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Arlington, MA who specializes in mindfulness, depression, anxiety, and relationships, and substance use and addiction. Liam offers compassionate relational based therapy. His approach is to listen, understand, and build a connection that fosters growth within clients. While psychodynamic in nature, he utilizes behavioral therapies, mindfulness, and appropriate humor to help a person feel heard and continue to grow. When working with individuals with depression and/or anxiety, he focuses on their connections with others and spends time helping them get to the root causes. For example, if someone comes in with underlying causes of low self-worth, he helps them explore how this might be related to past and/or current relationships. He utilizes a strengths-based approach to help clients embrace and tap into their own inner resources that will help them cope and take on life’s challenges.
