Treatment changed the trajectory of my life. I went from community college to the University of Florida, then to a Master of Social Work from Florida State. My bachelor's was in Education Sciences with a specialization in Educational Psychology. That background means I actually understand how ADHD plays out in a classroom, which is where so much of your son's pain probably lives. The frustration. The shame. The feeling of being surrounded by people who don't get it. Before private practice I worked across youth drug courts, inpatient psychiatric care, and community mental health. Most teenage boys don't want to be in therapy. I start there. The first job is getting your son to actually show up, not just physically. That means being a real person in the room, matching his energy, and validating what he's experiencing before trying to do anything else. I'm 27.
