About My Clients
Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand — anxiety that keeps returning, relationship conflicts that repeat, or the lingering impact of trauma, loss, or emotional disconnection. You may function well on the outside yet still feel overwhelmed, guarded, or disconnected internally, unsure how to shift the patterns that keep showing up in your life and relationships.
My Background and Approach
In our work together, you’ll gain practical tools and deeper insight to navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns that keep repeating — even when they’ve tried hard to change them. Together we’ll explore what’s happening in the moment — in your thoughts, emotions, and nervous system — while building strategies you can use when difficult feelings arise. This may include learning ways to regulate anxiety, set healthier boundaries, and respond differently to triggers that once felt overwhelming. My approach integrates relational and somatic therapy with evidence-based practices such as CBT and DBT. Over time, many clients experience greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and the ability to relate to themselves and others with more clarity and confidence.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Reflected through my community and relationships, I’m deeply committed to supporting mySelf and others both in and outside of therapy. Having experienced the impact of suicide personally on multiple occasions, I bring compassion and understanding to clients navigating grief and sudden loss. Over the past 20 years I've regularly advocated for people with disabilities and participated in cross country philanthropic bike ride across the U.S. I remain actively engaged in ongoing conservation efforts to protect and preserve the natural world. I believe in combining action, empathy, and service — and I aim to bring that same dedication and care to every client relationship. I regularly attend community retreats and healing gatherings to continue looking inward so that I can be a more loving, kind mirror for others.
