My Background and Approach
As a certified EMDR therapist, I am dedicated to helping you heal from trauma in a way that feels safe, empowering, and transformative. As a trauma-informed and trauma-focused clinician, I understand how deeply painful experiences can impact your sense of self, relationships, and daily life. Trauma can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and disconnected, but healing is possible. Through EMDR, we will work to reprocess painful memories, reducing their emotional weight and helping you regain a sense of peace and control. I am also in the process of becoming a TF-CBT therapist and use trauma narratives to help you make sense of your experiences in a way that fosters healing and self-compassion. I am especially passionate about supporting minorities in processing racial trauma, discrimination, microaggressions, and identity struggles. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Latinx woman, I understand the importance of representation in the mental health field. Too often, BIPOC communities experience trauma that goes unrecognized or unsupported, and I am deeply committed to changing that. Healing doesn’t have to be a solitary journey—we all deserve spaces where we feel seen, heard, and uplifted. I believe in fostering a sense of community where we validate and empower one another on our paths to growth and healing. I am a strong supporter of the BLM and LGBTQIA+ communities and advocate for equity, inclusion, and the right for all people to feel safe and valued. My approach to healing embraces spirituality beyond traditional Abrahamic beliefs, honoring diverse perspectives, intuition, and our deep connections with ourselves, others, and the world around us. Outside of my work, I find peace in running, reading, and spending time with my daughter. Healing comes in many forms, and I am here to walk alongside you as you discover your own path forward
