About My Clients
We live in challenging times that can pull us away from connection and a sense of belonging, which can lead to feeling we are broken or there is a problem within us. I want people to connect to a stronger sense of self and inner-knowing, you're not a problem that needs to be fixed but rather you're made up of multiple parts that make you a unique individual. Compassion, deeper awareness, self-exploration and permission to be human are part of the healing journey clients can expect to hold.
My Background and Approach
I began my work an early childhood education, which than lead me to the mental health field as I learned I wanted to focus on full mental health support. I then started working with foster and probations youth in non-profit programs that supported their personal wellness goals. I then shifted into youth and family work as I finished my full licensure process. I obtained my licensure in Hawaii and California, which lead me to working at a trauma center based in Oahu and a group practice based in California. My work is person-centered with our relationship built on trust and safety at the heart of what we do. I utilize IFS/parts work, somatic practices, narrative therapy, play therapy, attachment systems, EMDR, mindfulness-based CBT, DBT. I believe every individual is unique and should be seen holistically rather than as a problem that needs to be fixed. You're whole and deserve to feel empowered to approach life from a place of grounding and acceptance.
