I will work with you to find an approach that feels right; it is important that you feel like you are getting what you need out of sessions and I want to be able to help create a plan that works for you. I am not a therapist who will just sit back and not engage; I will challenge when appropriate as well as support and validate. I can help you take the steps to start healing wounds and creating healthier patterns and behaviors.
My Background and Approach
I will take a trauma informed approach to help you heal. I have extensive experience working with addiction, trauma codependency, anxiety, depression, family systems & other mental health issues. I am a certified brainspotting therapist. Brainspotting is a powerful therapy that helps clients to access a deeper part of their brain in order to allow for longer and more effective healing. Brainspotting helps the individual health their minds as well as their bodies and moves away from the traditional talk therapy model. Brainspotting is proven to help individuals be able to work through negative emotions, trauma, ptsd, creative blocks, physical pain, addiction, stress, and more. I am also trained in EMDR therapy.

My values and life experiences strongly shape who I am as a therapist. My values are family, authenticity, and growth and I believe that is conveyed through the work that I do. I recognize the importance of respecting boundaries, as well as being open-minded and tolerant of alternative beliefs and worldviews.
