My Background and Approach
Originally from Nashville, TN. My first career was very short as a Spanish High School Educator. It was in Teaching that I discovered the higher need for Mental Health Counseling, and what turned into a couple of classes to better understand how to talk with my students to a full Master's Degree and almost a PhD (I only have the dissertation left). When you enter my virtual office or physical office, you will experience a custom treatment plan. Your experience is tailored for what you need. We start where you are and work together to create attainable goals to get you to where you want to be. You will experience a combination of therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solutions-Focused, Trauma-Informed, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), EMDR., and Play. I
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. We are constantly learning and adapting but sometimes this process is difficult to do alone. This is where I come in, to help put the pieces together and make your current chapter in life easier to deal with but also set you up with the appropriate tools to better understand how to deal with future obstacles.
