About My Clients

You found your way here for a reason. You might be seeking support, searching for tools to help you de-stress, looking for a safe space to explore your identity, needing to process your emotions regarding the state of our current world, or maybe you're not quite sure what you're needing yet but something has to change. Whatever the reason, I am here to help.

My Background and Approach

Therapy sessions can look many ways, depending on what you are needing! My intention is to provide a space that is warm, authentic, and compassionate to help you work on your goals. I will bring my knowledge, skills, and resources into our sessions while honoring your intuition and wisdom about your needs. Some of the common goals I help people work towards are: Decreasing anxiety, stress, and depressive symptoms; Emotional regulation; Learning mindfulness/meditation; Exploring identity (gender, sexuality, relationship structures, etc); Connecting with your body and your emotions (I often bring yoga into sessions to help with this); Navigating life transitions; Reconnecting with your intuition and inner wisdom; Validating and normalizing your unique experience & identity; Establishing/enforcing boundaries; Strengthening Self-Compassion; Developing coping skills; Releasing trauma (I am trained in EMDR which is an evidence-based treatment to process trauma).

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a queer therapist, I am passionate about offering services for the LGBTQ+ community. I work with folks looking to discuss concerns related to sexual or gender identity as well as folks simply wanting to enter into a therapeutic relationship in a welcoming space with a queer therapist. I am sex positive and welcome clients of sexual, relational, and gender diversity. I am poly/ethical non-monogamy affirming and kink aware. As a white individual, I am committed to doing my own anti-racism work and to unlearning oppressive values and practices. I am a licensed clinical social worker (licensed in Texas and Florida) as well as a graduate of Dharma Yoga's 200 hour teacher training. In line with my intention to decolonize the practice of yoga, I acknowledge that I am learning and sharing yoga as an outsider: I honor, respect, and give credit to the people and cultures of which it originated. I am married to a wonderful partner and we are mamas to an adorable, geriatric dachshund.
