In addition to traditional talk therapy, I incorporate yogic philosophy, breathwork, mindfulness, and asana (physical postures) into sessions.
I will often invite you to focus on your thoughts, emotions, and physical body to help us figure out what might be happening and how we can best address it right when it occurs. We can begin to calm our anxious thoughts and feelings by learning how to calm our bodies. You'll develop tools to help you connect with your body and help you regulate the reactions in your body. These practices will help you build a strong base to come to home to when you begin to explore intense emotions or traumas.
This integration of body and mind can help us manage stress, cope with anger, deal with trauma, learn to sooth our anxieties, better understand ourselves, improve our communication with others, and learn to rely on our ability to heal ourselves.
