My Background and Approach
I'm trained in a variety of evidence-based practices including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and many more. Most importantly, I view each person as the unique individual that they are. In doing so, I couple the appropriate therapy approach needed with judge-free, emotional support so that each person I work with has an uplifting therapy experience as unique as they are. I also have a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Western Kentucky University and have been a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2001, so I've learned a thing or two about helping couples and families through their toughest relationships. I believe that the relationship between the therapist and client is primary to change and see myself as your partner in the process. Above all, I want you to know that I want to help!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I understand and respect the courage it takes to talk with someone about personal and sometimes uncomfortable topics. It is my goal to assist a client in achieving overall wellness, which I believe is key to long term happiness.
