About My Clients
Kids, teens, college students, and their parents, seen online across Texas and the PSYPACT states. Families come to us for anxiety, depression, ADHD, school refusal, big emotions that hit hard and last long, family conflict, and the stress of living with a medical condition. We also complete online ADHD, autism, and dyslexia evaluations for Texas families ages 6 through 55. Most families start the same week they reach out, with evening and weekend appointments.
My Background and Approach
Kristin Kroll, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and the founder of Little Dove Psychology, a virtual child psychology practice based in Austin, Texas. Before founding Little Dove she spent her career in academic medicine at Children's Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she trained psychology fellows, published research on pediatric mental health, and helped build the hospital's telehealth program before the pandemic. She is the author of a Cambridge University Press textbook on evidence-based treatment for children. Care at Little Dove is grounded in approaches with real evidence behind them: CBT, exposure-based work, DBT-informed skills for emotion regulation and distress tolerance, and parent coaching, because the techniques get practiced at home. Every family starts with a free 15-minute consultation with Dr. Kroll, and progress is tracked with validated measures. In network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, and Optum; superbills for other plans.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Every patient is someone's loved one. Families deserve a provider with expertise, kindness, and plain answers about what is going on and what will help, and that is the standard the whole Little Dove team practices to. If you have questions, reach out and schedule a free 15-minute consultation at (512) 240-2633 or at littledovepsychology.com.
