About My Clients
I can support anyone trying to find balance and open to trying a different approach, perhaps through mindfulness, movement, or somatic work. However, traditional talk therapy is also effective for many. As a former educator and school counselor, I support educators dealing with stress and burnout, parents looking for support, or anyone needing help with executive functioning. I also have experience working with neurodivergent individuals and individuals dealing with life transitions.
My Background and Approach
I was a teacher and school counselor for many years, so I understand the stress of anyone working in a school, as well as the stress that adolescents and parents deal with also. I can also help parents or teens navigating school accommodations. Whether you fall into that category or not (as an educator, parent, or teen), I know how we are all juggling so much and I can support anyone looking to lower stress or anxiety, develop better routines, and find more joy in their daily life. I value a holistic approach to wellness and therapy and try to incorporate different elements into my work with clients. I am working on a Holistic Mental Health Specialist Certificate. While the past is important, I find it helpful to focus on the "here and now" and work on making positive changes to work towards a goal. In any work with clients, I use a collaborative approach and appreciate that the client is the expert in their own life.
