About My Clients
Kristen provides services to individuals who are navigating life transitions, work challenges, stress and feeling overwhelmed, academic performance, social adjustments and peer pressure, exploration of identity, anxiety, depression, personal growth, and self-esteem. Kristen serves children (ages 7+), adolescents, and adults.
My Background and Approach
Kristen has experience working at a children's outpatient psychiatric hospital and community mental health setting. She understands that no one individual is the same and will tailer treatment to the specific person's needs and requests. Kristen utilizes concepts and interventions from cognitive- behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution focused, and amongst others. When working with children, she utilizes play therapy techniques and adapts treatment to the appropraite age.
My Values as a Therapist
Kristen believes that building a therapeutic relationship is the first step in therapy and is the building block to making progress. Therefore, it is important to establish a safe environment that is free from judgement, empathetic, and responsive. Kristen is an ally of the LGBTQ community and provides an affirming therapeutic space.
