About My Clients

Most of my clients have been told they are handling it well, and have spent real energy making that look true. I work with people carrying complex trauma and PTSD, anxiety, chronic stress and burnout, depression and mood instability, serious mental illness, and the weight of moving through systems never built for them. Many are neurodivergent, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, or rural, where affirming care is hours away. If therapy has left you feeling unseen before, the fit was wrong. Not you.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with eleven years of practice across schools, hospice, medical social work, crisis response, and corrections. That range taught me not to flinch at hard things, and it is why I am comfortable with high-acuity work that gets routed elsewhere. I draw on somatic therapy, trauma-focused CBT, DBT, CPT, ACT, internal family systems, and mindfulness. I am EMDR trained with EMDRIA certification in progress. I match the modality to the person rather than asking the person to fit the modality. Sessions are collaborative and paced. We do not move faster than your nervous system can tolerate, and you decide what we open and when. My aim is that you need me less over time, not more. I am also a board-approved clinical supervisor and I train and consult on trauma, neurodiversity, and rural mental health. Telehealth only. Individuals, couples, and families, ages 6 through older adulthood. Insurance, private pay, and a sliding scale.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am because, We Are. No one starts the task of living without some form of assistance. That belief is the whole practice, and it is why I founded Mapping Resilience Therapy Center. I wanted to build the thing I had gone looking for and not found. Care should be accessible, affirming, and transformative, and all three words have to mean something. Accessible means the technology, the pacing, the scheduling, and the cost are built for real lives, including disabled ones. Affirming means your race, your queerness, your disability, your diagnosis, and your history are context to be understood rather than problems to be managed. I practice in a neurodivergent-affirming way. Masking is not a treatment goal here, and compliance is not evidence of progress. I care about rural communities, about people the system has quietly labeled difficult, and about the families standing next to them. Together, we map the way forward.
