About My Clients

I work best with adults & teens 14+ who are ready to explore how past experiences shape their present. I specialize in trauma, identity, and life transitions — including LGBTQ+ individuals navigating authenticity, couples strengthening their connection, and survivors of sexual trauma finding their footing again. If you've been carrying something heavy and you're ready to set it down for a while, you might be exactly who I had in mind. My practice is affirming, trauma-informed, and judgment-free.

My Background and Approach

I came to this work through personal loss and a deep belief that people deserve support that truly sees them. That belief shapes everything about how I practice. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor in Louisiana, and owner of Oasis Counseling and Supervision. I am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting — approaches that work with trauma in the body, where it often lives longest. You don't need the right words for what happened. These methods meet you where language falls short. I work with adults, teens 14+, and couples. My practice is genuinely LGBTQ-affirming — identity, coming out, family acceptance, and the grief of living inauthentically are things I am honored to hold space for. You will never be just a diagnosis in my office. Oasis exists because therapy should be exactly that — a place to restore and gather yourself before moving forward.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a member of the LGBTQ community, and I know firsthand how much it matters to find a therapist who truly gets it — not just professionally, but personally. That is part of why this work means so much to me. I have also known the particular grief of losing people I love to suicide. That loss shaped who I am and why I show up the way I do for clients navigating pain that feels unsurvivable. I serve on the board of SAIGE-LA — the Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender-Expansive Identities, a division of the Louisiana Counseling Association — where I advocate for affirming care across the state. I am a spiritual person who finds community and grounding through faith, though I hold space for all beliefs and none. I am also a wife and a mother, and I bring my whole self into this work — not just my credentials.
