Humanistic therapy emphasizes the importance of being your true self in order to lead the most fulfilling life. It’s based on the principle that everyone has their own unique way of looking at and relating to the world. This view can impact your choices and actions. Humanistic therapy also involves a core belief that people are good at heart and capable of making the right choices for themselves. If you don’t hold yourself in high regard, it’s harder to develop your full potential.

Gestalt therapy is oriented around building awareness: of ourselves, of our thoughts & behaviors, of our choices, and of our physical systems that are constantly sending us invaluable data about our experiences. Through the gestalt process, clients learn to become more aware of how their own negative thought patterns and behaviors are blocking true self-awareness.

Having adequate self-esteem, confidence, and self-worth are important aspects of being a human, creating healthy fulfilling relationships, and creating the life you want. I also help my clients heal from narcissistic abuse and relationships and how those have impacted their self-esteem.

The Internal Family Systems Model is an integrative approach to psychotherapy that acknowledges and welcomes all parts and aspects of who we are. In this model we recognize and honor that each part of us (behaviors, thoughts, feelings, beliefs, personality traits, etc.) serves a purpose and can also be returned to a state of authenticity, balance, higher self-awareness, and healing.
