I believe in the power of voicing one's struggles and fears, no matter how scary or uncomfortable that might be. Do you feel suffocated by depression, anxiety, or an event that turned your life upside down? It can be hard to see how we keep ourselves stuck. Each of us learns to cope with our pain differently: through humor, isolation, work, alcohol, or the approval of others. After awhile, these things may no longer serve us. You want to be your best self. Maybe it’s time for some new tools.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in helping adults with anxiety, depression, addiction, and those in the midst of difficult life transitions (divorce, shift in faith, coping with loss, being a new parent). These might stem from different places-- the weight of oppression, the current political climate, questioning one's identity, or any number of things-- but regardless, I help clients adjust maladaptive thinking patterns, make actionable change, utilize healthy coping skills, and offer genuinely empathetic support. My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and empowering. I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space to help unburden you from unhelpful thoughts, painful feelings, and unhealthy patterns.
