About My Clients
You may be grieving, carrying a loss that changed how you see yourself or the future, or navigating the major changes of pregnancy, postpartum, or parenthood and just not feeling like yourself. I work best with adults facing bereavement, pregnancy or infant loss, suicide loss, postpartum mental health concerns, major life transitions, and identity shifts. My work makes room for both the heaviness of grief and the parts of life that are still moving.
My Background and Approach
I bring more than a decade of experience in grief and bereavement, along with specialized training in perinatal mental health as a PMH-C. That combination helps me support clients through both the expected and unexpected parts of pregnancy, postpartum, parenthood, and loss. My style is active, relational, and practical. I will listen closely, help you connect the dots, and keep your goals at the center of our work. I draw from evidence-based approaches while tailoring therapy to the person in front of me rather than forcing you into a rigid formula. I don’t believe every client needs the same version of their therapist. One of my biggest strengths is being responsive to you — adjusting how I show up based on who you are, what we are tackling, and how you show up in the room that day. Working together, we will make room for the hard parts while also helping you move toward more steadiness, confidence, and moments of genuine relief.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are inherently good and striving toward good. I believe change happens when we identify our patterns, offer ourselves grace for the coping that has helped us get this far, and make space to try new ways of being that align more closely with our values. I also believe deeply in the both/and: you can be grateful and overwhelmed, grieving and laughing, loving parenthood and missing who you were before it. Grief and joy get to coexist. You do not have to perform therapy or make your feelings more palatable here. My practice not only accepts but celebrates all people. I am committed to creating an affirming, safe, and welcoming environment regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, family structure, or background. I honor the unique experiences of LGBTQ+ parents, non-binary individuals, and anyone navigating parenthood or major life transitions outside traditional expectations.
