About My Clients
It's hard to go through life unscathed by the constantly changing social, political, economic, environmental factors. For some of my clients, there is an added layer of immigration related stress as well. If you are experiencing stressors around work/school, work/life balance, burnout, communication challenges in relationships, immigration, acculturation, or even symptoms of depression, anxiety that feed into your life in some way, then you're in the right place.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor of Arts from the Symbiosis International University, India in 2016 with a major in Psychology, and minor in Business Studies. I then obtained my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019 at Syracuse University, New York. I believe that everyone is doing the best that they can, at any given time. Sometimes, we all need a little extra help and support. My training has been primarily in the use of evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). These approaches help people feel more empowered to make changes in their lives, or to otherwise think, feel and behave differently regarding their circumstances. I tend to infuse interventions into a conversational, strengths-based approach that is centered on your experience. I also take into account the impact of contextual and systemic factors on people’s lives.
