About My Clients
I enjoy working with clients ages 16 and up. I am a trauma-informed, strengths-based, person-centered clinician who believes you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you as you explore what works best for you and navigate the path forward. Meaningful therapy is built on a genuine, collaborative relationship where we work together to identify and achieve goals that truly matter to you—all within a safe and supportive environment.
My Background and Approach
The goals we make together should reflect your unique experiences and perspectives, there is no one size fits all in therapy. The modalities I use vary based on each individual but I commonly use CBT, Solution Focused Brief therapy, ACT and DBT. I don't always assign "homework" but I do feel that it helps in certain situations for you to put the things you're learning into practice. I enjoy working with folks from all walks of life and in various life stages!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life is a journey and our paths all look different. But with support and tools in the tool box we can all lead happier, healthier lives. Unlearning behaviors takes time but those past behaviors don't need to define you. I support local community action groups, participate in activities supporting the LGBTQ+ community, social justice reform, and love to give back to our wonderful city. A little about me- I love to be on the water or in the water, especially when there is fishing pole involved! I love spooky season and the fall. And I LOVE college football, especially the Longhorns.
