About My Clients
I have graciously provided psychotherapy to clients within the addiction and mental health field for over a decade. I supervise students and aspiring clinicians as well as provide specialized consultation to licensed therapists. I have led mindfulness-based workshops and facilitated many group therapies to include implementation of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy programs. I’ve gained invaluable experience directly from the people and stories I've been honored to witness!
My Background and Approach
My passion is helping others by providing structure, respect, and gentle inquiry. I believe in clients holding themselves accountable to become leaders of their change process. I weave mindfulness strategies into all modalities, urging the practice of nonjudgmental awareness of our inner experience. I want clients to feel empowered to use techniques outside of sessions!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Shanti means "inner peace" in Sanskrit. I hope to create an experience of peace for clients within sessions, allowing their nervous system to settle so new, affirming beliefs and healing can integrate more easily.
