My Background and Approach
Did you know that when you experience conflict in your relationship, the issue is usually not what it seems? We engage in struggles with our partner for reasons that are often unknown--even to ourselves. By exploring some of the hidden reasons we chose the person we are with and learning the true nature of our conflicts with one another, we can ultimately grow toward a more satisfying, rewarding relationship. Your partner doesn't want to join you? That's OK. You might be surprised how much can change by the things you learn on your own.

In session, your relationship is my primary focus. And because your relationship is unique, I approach helping you with open curiousity and the desire to understand what makes you different from everyone else. Together, we look at the mechanics of how the two of you interact, identify what is working and what is not, and establish effective tools that can move you out of the past, improve the present, and ensure a happier future.
